Environmentalism in America is dead, replaced by climatism and renewable energy fetishism. Once focused on protecting landscapes, wildlife, and ecosystems, the movement evolved into an NGO-corporate-industrial-climate complex, aligning with big corporations, banks, and law firms. Today’s “green” NGOs support sprawling solar and wind projects that threaten rural landscapes, wildlife, and marine habitats, such as those of the critically endangered North Atlantic Right Whale. The shift from conservation to climate business is driven by the $4.7 billion in annual expenditures of top climate nonprofits. The call now is for true conservationists to advocate for high-density, low-emission energy sources like natural gas, nuclear energy, and a weather-resilient electric grid, emphasizing realistic and sustainable energy practices.
